Lissete E. Lanuza Sáenz

Lissete E. Lanuza Sáenz is an entertainment and sports writer and editor who always has an opinion about everything she watches. And opinions are always better shared. She grew up on classic movies and procedural TV shows, but now favors anything different—or at least anything that’s trying to tell a story in a way we haven’t seen before.

Experience and Education

Lissete is a trained lawyer—who decided the corporate world wasn’t for her during the pandemic. Since then, she’s turned her “hobby,” writing, into her full-time job. She’s written mostly about entertainment—with a heavy emphasis on TV, and sports—one of her first loves. She was the Senior Editor in charge of all TV and Movie content on CBR, and co-owns the entertainment website Fangirlish. She’s also a member of the Television Critics Association, which she takes as tacit permission to have opinion about anything TV. On top of contributing to JustWatch, she also writes for TV Guide, Remezcla, The Independent, Stylecaster, among others.

Favorite Movies and TV Shows

Her favorite movies vary wildly from the classics like The Sound of Music and The Godfather and The Princess Bride, to movies like When Harry Met Sally and everything Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. If it’s fantasy, she’s in. As for TV shows, she watches procedurals like it was her full-time job, and still feels like a The X-Files fan, even if she doesn’t claim the revival seasons.

Lissete E. Lanuza Sáenz has written 2 articles on JustWatch. This includes adding news and relevant information to movie & TV show pages.

Bridget Jones: Movie Order & Where to Watch All the Movies

Everyone’s favorite disaster at love who actually ended up finding her fairy tale romance is now back, and she’s sadly looking for new love after the tragic death of her husband, Mark Darcy. But it wouldn’t be Bridget Jones without some shenanigans, a lot of friendship and a relatable look at what being a woman is like—no matter your age.

The first movie was released in what was still the golden age of rom-coms, with movies like The Wedding Planner, Serendipity, Kate & Leopold and even The Princess Diaries also releasing that same year. But outside of The Princess Diaries, which would go on to have a sequel, no rom-com has had the staying power Bridget Jones has. Perhaps that’s just because Renée Zellweger is that good, though it might also be because we can truly believe Bridget would get into each and every one of these messes, movie after movie, and come out on top.

If you want to know in what order you should watch the four movies in this universe, here’s where to watch all the Bridget Jones movies, in the order they were released.

    Bridget Jones’s Diary

Loosely based on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, or at least inspired by Colin Firth’s character of Mr. Darcy in the BBC miniseries adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, Bridget Jones’s Diary is basically an alternate universe version of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, set in the future. If you like grumpy heroes, bubbly and relatable but often messy heroines and a happy ending then Bridget Jones’s Diary is the movie for you. And bonus, the other half of the love triangle is a young Hugh Grant.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

The direct sequel to Bridget Jones’s Baby, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason is about what happens right after the happily ever after, particularly considering neither Bridget nor Mark have changed who they are—they’ve just gotten together. If you always want to know how couples in rom-coms actually adjust and take their relationship to the next level, this is the romance for you. And yes Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver is back.

    Bridget Jones’s Baby

Can you believe this is still about Bridget and Mark’s romance? Well, if you’re looking for a second-chance romance featuring two people you are already invested in, look no further. Because Bridget and her Mr. Darcy are still trying to figure out if they can work as a couple, and now there’s a baby involved! But is it Mark Darcy’s baby or is McDreamy himself (Patrick Dempsey) the father?

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

After three movies about Bridget and Mark, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is about grief and moving forward—even when it seems impossible. Bridget and Mark’s happily ever after might be done, but there’s still life in Bridget, and while there’s life, there’s hope and perhaps maybe even more romance. It’s never too late, right?

Suits: Where to Watch All The TV Shows & Spinoffs

Fourteen years after the premiere of Suits, and a couple of years after the series became a streaming success on Netflix, the show’s second spinoff is set to follow a new group of lawyers. The series, once again created by Suits creator and showrunner Aaron Korsh, is not, however, the only other show set in the Suits universe.

One show does not make a universe, but three—with shared characters popping in and out—do give that vibe. There have been other successful lawyer shows on TV, from Boston Legal to Ally McBeal, without forgetting Better Call Saul or even the recent Netflix hit The Lincoln Lawyer. But all of those are one-offs, making Suits perhaps the most successful purely lawyer-show on TV. That’s quite a legacy to uphold as the third show in the universe gets underway.

If you want to know what you need to watch to be completely caught up in the universe, here’s where to watch all the Suits TV shows and spinoffs, in the order they aired.

    Suits

Half mystery, half corporate law, Suits focuses on Harvey (Gabriel Macht), a charismatic lawyer with a reputation for never playing nice who hires a new associate, Mike (Patrick J. Adams) despite knowing he hasn’t actually gone to law school—he just has a photographic memory. If you think this is going to be about Harvey and Mike trying not to get caught while having fun solving cases together, you’d be right. There’s also a fair bit of romance, a future Duchess and Gina Torres in a role so iconic she’d go on to get her own spinoff.

    Pearson

The first Suits spinoff follows Gina Torres’ Jessica Pearson as she leaves behind the corporate world and gets down and dirty in the world of Chicago politics, becoming a fixer for the mayor. Occasional cameos from Suits characters aside, the show is much grittier than Suits and infinitely darker. If you loved Jessica Pearson on Suits, then you probably will love the focus on not just her way of handling things when she isn’t necessarily in charge, but her past.

    Suits LA

Suits snappier, fancier and preppier cousin, Suits LA is set in Los Angeles and changes the focus from corporate law to entertainment law. That means plenty of cameos from well known actors, and reinvented characters that vaguely resemble the original show’s archetypes. There’s still a central mystery, plenty of flashbacks and characters that you sometimes don’t actually like, but that are still engaging enough to keep you watching. And there’s that tie-in with the original Suits, thanks to Harvey and Ted Black (Stephen Amell’s) friendship. That’s the new Suits universe for you.
