Synopsis
The Penguin’s rise to the top of Gotham’s criminal underworld is far from smooth
After the death of top crime boss Carmine Falcone, his second in command, Oz Cobb (aka The Penguin), steps to the fore. But not everyone thinks he is the natural heir to the kingpin throne, and he finds himself besieged as Gotham City’s top criminals try to take him down.

The Penguin is a crime drama series produced by DC Studios. The series is based on the DC Comics character the Penguin, who appears in the Batman comics as a villain. The Penguin is a sequel series to 2022's The Batman, taking place one week after the film’s events. The Batman director Matt Reeves executive produces the series. The series is created by Lauren LeFranc, who acts as showrunner and writer for all of the series’ episodes.
Award-winning Irish actor Colin Farrell reprises his role as Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobb (aka The Penguin) for the series, after first debuting the character in The Batman. He is joined by Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, late mob boss Carmine Falcone’s daughter. Her brother, Alberto, is portrayed by Michael Zegen. Clancy Brown stars as rival crime lord Salvatore Maroni. The expanded cast includes Michael Kelly, Rhenzy Feliz, Deirdre O’Connell, Scott Cohen, James Madio, and more.
