Dune: Prophecy is a sci-fi series produced by Legendary Television and WarnerMedia. The series is set within the Dune universe, which was created by author Frank Herbert in his book series of the same name from the 1960s. The books were adapted into a successful 3-part film series directed by Dennis Villeneuve starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Dune: Prophecy serves as a prequel series, and takes place some 10,000 years before the events of Dune: Part One. The series is run by Alison Schapker, who is known for her work on series like Alias and Altered Carbon.
Dune: Prophecy stars Emily Watson and Olivia Williams as sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen, the founders of the Bene Gesserit. They are joined by Jodhi May as Empress Natalya, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina as Princess Ynez, Shalom Brune-Franklin as the Fremen Mikaela, Faoileann Cunningham as acolyte in training Sister Jen, Aoife Hinds as zealous acolyte Sister Emeline, and Chloe Lea as the young acolyte Lila. Other cast members include Tabu, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka as Sister Theodosia, Chris Mason, Josh Heuston, and Edward Davis.
