Good Omens Season 2 adapts never-published material by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Good Omens Season 2 is the second season in the fantasy adventure television series written and created by Neil Gaiman for BBC Studios and Amazon Studios. The series is based on the book Neil Gaiman co-wrote with legendary fantasy writer Terry Pratchett. The first season of Good Omens adapted their entire book, and the second season is based on material for a follow-up book the two brainstormed that was never published called 668: The Neighbour of the Beast. Season 2 consists of six episodes that are written by both Gaiman and writer and comedian John Finnemore. Douglas Mackinnon, who directed the first season’s episodes, returns to direct and produce season 2.
David Tennant and Michael Sheen return to their roles as the demon Crowly and the angel Aziraphale. Jon Hamm reprises his role as the Archangel Gabriel, and Doon Mackinchan once again portrays the Archangel Michael. Benedict Cumberbatch and Frances McDormand do not return for the second season, which instead features Gloria Obianyo as Uriel alongside Quelin Sepulveda as Muriel, and Liz Carr as Saraqael. Other new cast members include Andi Osho, Alex Norton, Tim Downie, Pete Firman, and Sian Phillips.
