Ironheart Season 1 is the upcoming first season of the superhero TV series produced by Marvel Studios for Disney. The 6-episode season is based on the comic book character created by Brian Michael Bendis in 2016, and who was first introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Riri Williams (aka Ironheart) is a brilliant student at MIT. She is taken to Wakanda after inventing a vibranium detector. While there, she creates her own super suit, becoming Ironheart and setting her up to take Tony Stark (aka Iron Man)’s place in the MCU. The solo series is created by Chinaka Hodge, who also acts as the series’ showrunner. Ironheart is part of the MCU’s Phase Five.
Dominique Thorne (If Beale Street Could Talk) reprises her role as Riri Williams (aka Ironheart). The season’s villain, Parker Robbins (aka The Hood), is played by Anthony Ramos, and Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat) plays Mephisto. The rest of the cast includes Alden Ehrenreich, Lyric Ross, and Manny Montana.
