In a world where everyone gets cosmetic surgery to become 'beautiful', Tally finds herself in a new place not governed by the same standards of beauty

In a futuristic world where everyone gets cosmetic surgery at 16 years of age to make them “beautiful” (i.e. perfectly symmetrical). But before Tally’s surgery, a friend of hers runs away and in chasing after them, she discovers another group of people living a very different life that revolutionises her way of thinking.
