Synopsis
Magic lies behind the closed doors of the mysterious company where Paul Carpenter works
When Paul Carpenter finds himself employed at J.W. Wells & Co. in London, he is delighted to have found a job at all. But he and his co-worker Sophie find there is more going on under the surface when they discover that behind the closed doors of the company there exists a magical world — one that the CEO of their company is trying to exploit using modern business practices.

The Portable Door is an Australian fantasy-adventure film produced by the Jim Henson Company and Story Bridge Films. Jeffrey Walker directs, while Leon Ford pens the script. The film is an adaptation of the first book in author Tom Holt’s fantasy series called The Portable Door.
The film stars Patrick Gibson as protagonist Paul Carpenter, and Sophie Wilde as Sophie Pentigel, Paul’s friend and co-worker with whom he explores the building’s mysteries. Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) plays the company's villainous CEO, Humphrey Wells, and Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) plays the middle manager Dennis Tanner. The cast also includes Miranda Otto and Damon Harriman, among others.
