Synopsis
An assassin mother must protect her estranged daughter when she comes under threat
When a young woman finds herself suddenly in danger, her mother arrives to save her. But after years of estrangement due to the assassin mother having abandoned her daughter, can they survive the ordeal and reconcile?

The Mother is a thriller action film distributed by Netflix. The film is directed by Niki Caro, who previously helmed 2002’s highly successful Whale Rider, and Disney’s 2020 live-action Mulan. Misha Green wrote the story for the film, alongside filmmakers Andrea Berloff and Peter Craig.
Jennifer Lopez stars as the titular mother — an assassin on a mission to protect her estranged daughter. Lucy Paez portrays her daughter, and Joseph Fiennes plays the villain. Famed Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal stars alongside Omari Hardwick in the film.
