Sasquatch Sunset is a surreal comedy film produced by Square Peg. It follows a fictional family of Sasquatches through the wilderness of northern California, as they attempt to live through the normal challenges of their existence while tackling the changing climate and what that brings with it. The film is written and directed by David Zellner, who co-directs alongside his brother, Nathan Zellner. The Zellner brothers previously directed films together such as Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter and Kid-Thing, in addition to the 2011 precursor to Sasquatch Sunset, a short film called Sasquatch Birth Journal 2. The music for the film is created by experimental music band The Octopus Project. Ari Aster, who is known for his films Midsommar and Hereditary, acts as a producer.
