Guy Ritchie helms spin-off of his 2019 film with Theo James leading the series
The Gentlemen season 1 is the first season of Netflix's crime-dramedy TV series from Guy Ritchie. The series is a spin-off of Ritchie's 2019 film The Gentlemen, starring Charlie Hunnam and Michelle Dockery. The film surpassed $115 million in global box office earnings against a $22 million budget. Original director Ritchie directed the pilot of the TV series and co-wrote it with Matthew Read, a producer from Peaky Blinders. The executive producers include Ritchie, Read, along with the original film's producers Ivan Atkinson and Bill Block. Marn Davies, Will Gould, Marc Helwig and Frith Tiplady also serve as additional producers to the eight-episode series.
Theo James portrays lead Eddie Halstead in The Gentlemen. Known for his roles in the Divergent franchise and the second season of The White Lotus, James leads a stellar cast. The ensemble includes Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass, Daniel Ings as Freddy Halstead, Joely Richardson as Lady Sabrina Halstead, Giancarlo Esposito, Peter Serafinowicz and Snatch's Vinnie Jones as Geoff Seacombe. The cast also features Chanel Cresswell as Tammy, Max Beesley as Henry Collins, Harry Goodwins as Jack and Ruby Sear as Gabrielle.
