Ironheart season 1 is the upcoming season for the Disney+ action-adventure superhero TV series from Chinaka Hodge.
The series is inspired by the Marvel Comics character and takes place after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which released in 2022. The show is the 12th Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series and is part of the MCU’s continuity.
Chinaka Hodge, who previously worked on Snowpiercer and The Midnight Club on Netflix, is the creator and head writer of the show. Ironheart comprises six episodes with Sam Bailey directing the first three episodes and Angela Barnes directing the remaining three.
Tony Stark is not confirmed to be in the Ironheart series. However, his technological influence does have a major impact on the lead character.
Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams/Ironheart, last seen in Wakanda Forever, and is joined by Anthony Ramos (In The Heights) as her ally Parker Robbins/The Hood, who has access to the dark arts and magic through his hood. Jim Rash reprises his role as the Dean of MIT from Captain America: Civil War. Lyric Ross stars as Williams' best friend.
Harper Anthony, Manny Montana (Good Girls), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Shea Couleé (RuPaul's Drag Race), Zoe Terakes (Wentworth), Regan Aliyah (XO, Kitty), Shakira Barrera (GLOW), Rashida "Sheedz" Olayiwola (Jury Duty), Sonia Denis (Set It Up), Paul Calderón (King of New York), and Cree Summer (A Different World) are also part of the cast.
