Alaqua Cox reprises her role as deaf Native American superhero Echo in a new Disney+ spin-off series
Echo is a Disney+ superhero TV series created by Marion Dayre. It is a spin-off of the Hawkeye series and the twelfth show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The series follows the same timeline and storyline as previous MCU films and television shows. Dayre, who has written for the critically acclaimed series, Better Call Saul, as well as the Hulu miniseries, The Act, is the creator of Echo. Sydney Freeland, director on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Reservation Dogs, and The Wilds, directs the show's pilot.
Alaqua Cox portrays the lead role of Maya Lopez, also known as Echo, after previously appearing as the character in Hawkeye. Devery Jacobs stars as Julie while Zahn McClarnon plays the role of Maya's father, William Lopez. Vincent D'Onofrio and Charlie Cox return to portray their roles as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Matt Murdock/Daredevil, respectively. The cast also includes Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene and Andrew Howard.
