Short story from Game of Thrones author adapted to the big screen from Resident Evil director and star Milla Jovovich
In the Lost Lands is an upcoming fantasy adventure film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. It is based on the short story of the same name from beloved author George R.R. Martin who is best known for crafting the Song of Ice and Fire book franchise which ultimately led to the massively successful HBO series adaptation, Game of Thrones, and its prequel, House of the Dragon. Anderson previously directed four films adapted from the popular video game franchise, Resident Evil, as well as 1995’s Mortal Kombat and Monster Hunter in 2020. Anderson and Martin are the credited writers for the Lost Lands adaptation along with Constantin Werner who also serves as producer. Werner had been attempting to bring the film to life for several years. Nico Bruinsma and Kirk D'Amico are executive producers on the film. Other producers include Anderson and stars Jovovich and Dave Bautista with Jeremy Bolt, Udo Happel, Iryna Kopyl, Jonathan Meisner, Krzysztof Solek and Stuart Williams.
Frequent Anderson collaborator, Milla Jovovich, leads the film as Gray Alys. Dave Bautista stars alongside her as Boyce with Arly Jover portraying Ash and Amara Okereke as Melange. Other cast members include Fraser James as Patriarch Johan, Simon Lööf as Jerais, Deirdre Mullins as Mara, Sebastian Stankiewicz as Ross, Tue Lunding as The Hammer and Jacek Dzisiewicz as Overlord. Ian Hanmore, Eveline Hall, Kamila Klamut, Caoilinn Springall, Jan Kowalewski, Pawel Wysocki and Tomasz Cymerman round out the cast.
