Synopsis
Scott Calvin is about to turn 65 years old – an age that marks a good life. But for Scott, the difficult thing about growing older is coming to the realization that he can’t do his job the way he used to. Living at the North Pole and organizing Christmas every year is all he knows but suddenly there’s a shift. It’s time for Santa Claus to pass on the iconic red robes to the next Santa Claus and let them make Christmas magical. In the search for a suitable candidate, Scott has to keep his eyes open for someone who will keep the spark of Christmas alive in their every step. Meanwhile, Scott must prepare with his family for a shift into normality. His wife Carol, his two sons Cal and Charlie, and his daughter Sandra are all on board with the change but a new adventure can sometimes be difficult. Scott will have to be a good father to the family in this time of transition as everything at the North Pole is changing.

The Santa Clauses is a Christmas comedy series produced by Disney+. It is directed by Jason Winer with Jack Burditt signed on as showrunner. Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick are the screenwriting partners behind the show, returning to the franchise after penning the original The Santa Clause. This miniseries serves as a sequel to The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause and has lead star Tim Allen as an executive producer.
Tim Allen, who reprises his iconic role as Saint Nick is joined once again by Elizabeth Mitchell who is back as Mrs. Claus. Charlie Calvin, Buddy Calvin-Claus, and Sandra Calvin-Claus are the three siblings in this North Pole adventure who need their family time. They are played by Eric Lloyd, Austin Kane, and Elizabeth Allen-Dick respectively. Kal Penn has been cast as a product developer Simon Choksi who is changed after visiting the North Pole with his daughter Grace played by Rupali Redd. Devin Bright and David Krumholtz are both important elves in the story - Bright as Noel, Santa’s trusted advisor, and Krumholtz as Bernard, Santa’s former right-hand elf. Bringing some Italian folklore to the story is Laura San Giacomo cast as Befana the Christmas Witch. NFL legend Peyton Manning is also confirmed to be making an appearance in the show playing himself. The Santa Clauses was released on Disney+ on November 16th, 2022.
