What to know
The Handmaid's Tale Season 5 is the fifth season of a dystopian series created by Bruce Miller and produced by Hulu. The series is based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name. In a totalitarian society called Gilead, fertile women are enslaved to be used as birthing organs. The story revolves around June, who is forced to work against her will as a servant for a wealthy family and give them a child.
The first season of The Handmaid's Tale won eight Primetime Emmy Awards and is the first Hulu-produced series to win a major award. It also took home the Golden Globe for the best drama series.
Season 5 of The Handmaid's Tale premiered on Hulu on September 14, 2022.
