Synopsis
The Artful Dodger has reinvented himself as a surgeon but his past soon catches up with him
In Port Victory, Australia in the 1850s, an upstanding surgeon by the name of Jack Dawkins receives an unexpected visitor. When it comes to pass that Dawkins used to be known as Dodger and has a history of skilled pickpocketing drama ensues. Reunited with his old partner in crime, Fagin, the Artful Dodger must try to balance his two identities. Meanwhile, Lady Belle is on a fast track to become the colony’s first female surgeon and her run-in with Jack Dawkins leads to unexpected events.

Thewlis has starred in Wonder Woman, Anomalisa, and Legend. Maia Mitchell features in the show as Lady Belle Fox having starred in the series Good Trouble.
