Synopsis
Josh and Melissa have rekindled their love and are closer than ever before
Before Josh and Melissa can return to their regular lives again, the pair are transported to a whole new town – Schmicago! Here, the musicals of the 1960s and 70s are alive everywhere. If the duo are to dance their way home, they will have to do it through the jazz-infused movement and musical of Schmicago.

Schmigadoon! season 2 is an American musical comedy television series. It is created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, the screenwriting duo behind the Despicable Me franchise. The series is directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and Robert Luketic. The second season writer's room includes Cinco Paul, Jonathan Tolins, Julie Klausner, Raina Morris, and Josh Lieb. The music for the series is written by Cinco Paul and Christopher Willis. The series is produced by Universal Television and Broadway Video to be distributed by Apple TV+.
Comedian, actor, and producer Keegan-Michael Key returns to his role as Josh, while Saturday Night Live alumnus Cecily Strong also reprises her role as Melissa from Season 1. The pair are the troubled couple at the heart of the story. New cast members Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page join for the second season. Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Jamie Camil, Ann Harada, and Jane Krakowski make up the expanded cast. Schmigadoon Season 2 was released on Apple TV+ on April 5, 2023.
