Synopsis
Garbage collector Roc Emerson (Charles S. Dutton) lives with his wife, Eleanor (Ella Joyce), a nurse; his irascible father, Andrew (Carl Gordon); and his irresponsible younger brother, Joey (Rocky Carroll), a carefree musician. Season Two brings more struggles along this East Baltimore family’s road to the American dream. Roc evicts Joey, and somehow manages to get arrested. Eleanor wants to have a baby, but Roc’s sperm count is low. Yet Roc manages to buy his own house plus his landlord’s rental properties. Joey becomes Roc’s new superintendent and falls in love with Kim, a beautiful singer in the “Downtown Divas” (En Vogue). Life is looking rosy until Roc is arrested for the shooting of a neighborhood drug lord. What will it take to make things right? How about a confession from Roc’s co-worker and wonderful news from Eleanor? Roc’s world isn’t quiet, but it’s filled with love, laughs and exciting changes.
