ITV series features Richard Armitage and Jing Lusi in lead roles

Red Eye is an upcoming action-conspiracy television series on ITV. The six-episode series is directed by Kieron Hawkes who is known for his work on titles like Not Safe for Work and Power. It is written by Peter A. Dowling and Jingan Young. Dowling has previously written such thrilling works like Flightplan and Black and Blue. The production is handled by the award-winning Bad Wolf, a production company celebrated for their acclaimed works including The Night Of and Doctor Who.

Following a close brush with death in a car accident in Beijing, Dr. Matthew Nolan makes his way back to London only to find himself arrested at Heathrow Airport. He stands accused of murdering a woman involved in the crash, despite insisting he was alone in the vehicle, and faces extradition to China. DC Hana Li, a London officer tasked with escorting him, uncovers a series of mysterious deaths during the flight which leads her to suspect sinister motives. Hana's sister, journalist Jess Li, also explores Nolan's case while MI5's Madeline Delaney jeopardizes her career to expose an international conspiracy.

Dr. Matthew Nolan is played by Richard Armitage, known for his role as Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit trilogy. DC Hana Li is played by Crazy Rich Asians actress, Jing Lusi. The rest of the cast includes Lesley Sharp, Jemma Moore, Dan Li, Kevan MacKenzie, Daphne Cheung and Xiangyi Tan.
