Synopsis
Extrapolations explores eight intimate stories from a time of ecological disaster
Shaped by the profound effects of climate change, individuals face daunting decisions at all levels of society. Whether tech tyrants, scientists seeking solutions, or regular everyday people, everybody is trying to survive in a changing world. Between intense air pollution and raging wildfires, these are stories about how people love, listen and resist in apocalyptic times.

Extrapolations Season 1 is an upcoming drama anthology television show produced by Media Res for Apple TV+. The show is created and directed by American screenwriter and filmmaker Scott Z. Burns. Burns is best known for writing The Bourne Ultimatum, Contagion, and The Laundromat. The first season sees acclaimed cinematographer Ellen Kuras guest directing throughout the series. Gregory Jacobs, Lindsey Springer, Michael Ellenberg and Dorothy Fortenberry serve as executive producers.
The anthology show features a star-studded ensemble cast with different actors appearing in each episode. Matthew Rhys, Heather Graham, Tahar Rahim, and Sienna Miller star together in the first episode. The second sees Hollywood icon Meryl Street opposite Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington. Musician and actor, Daveed Diggs leads the third episode while the fourth sees Mia Maestro and Edward Norton starring. Gemma Chan features prominently in the sixth episode while episode seven sees Forest Whitaker, Tobey Maguire, and Marion Cotillard together. David Schwimmer, Diane Lane, Indira Varma, and Michael Gandolfini amongst others make up the expanded cast. Extrapolations Season 1 was released on Apple TV+ on March 17th, 2023.
