Starring Andrew Garfield, the mini-series follows the trials and tribulations of Charles Ryder and his aristocratic family as they reside in Brideshead Castle. The story spans decades, telling Charles’ story between the 1920s and 1940s.
Brideshead Revisited is adapted from the 1945 novel, Brideshead Revisited, The Sacred & Profane Memories of Captain Charles Ryder, by Evelyn Waugh. In 1981, the story was previously adapted for television as an 11-part series with Jeremy Irons in the leading role. Emma Thompson also starred in a feature film adaptation of the novel in 2008.
