The Virginian-born Academy Award winner debuted in the 1987 thriller, Hangmen, and after gaining attention following her supporting role in Demolition Man six years later, Bullock’s fame truly flourished with her breakthrough role as Annie Porter in 1994’s Speed. She went on to appear in numerous films throughout the 1990s including While You Were Sleeping, The Net, A Time to Kill, Speed 2: Cruise Control, Hope Floats, Practical Magic, The Prince of Egypt and 1999’s Forces of Nature.
