Synopsis
A group of elite nobles retreat to a countryside villa in 14th century Italia to wait out the bubonic plague
In the midst of the outbreak of the bubonic plague in 1348 Florence, a nobleman invites a group of elites to join him at his residential villa in the countryside. There, they group attempt to wait out the plague while enjoying themselves — even as tensions build and secrets are revealed.
