Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 is the upcoming second season of the legendary episodic sci-fi series based in the universe originally created in the 1960s by Gene Rodenberry. Alex Kurtzman creates season 2 after overseeing the production of CBS Television Studios’ Star Trek television programmes and writing the screenplay for Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek: Into the Darkness (2013). Co-series runner Henry Alonso Myers returns and additionally executive produces.
Members from the first season returning for season 2 include Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, and Rebecca Romijn as Number One. After being introduced at the end of the first season, the legendary character of James T. Kirk returns for season 2 and is portrayed by Paul Wesley, playing the character in his younger years as an officer aboard the USS Farragut.
