Synopsis

Soo Hugh develops season 2 from Min Ji Lee’s bestselling book for Apple TV+
Pachinko Season 2 is the second season in the drama series produced by Blue Marble Pictures and Media Res for Apple TV+. The series is based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same title by Min Ji Lee, and developed for the screen by Soo Hugh (The Terror). Hugh writes the script for the series, while Justin Chon and Kogonada direct the series’ episodes. Pachinko takes place across several generations, telling the story of one family’s fight to survive and thrive.
The young Korean mother who finds a chance to make a life in Japan, Kim Sunja, is once more played by Academy Award-winner Youn Yuh-jung. She is joined by Lee Min-ho as Hansu, Jin Ha as Solomon Baek, and Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews.
