Sony Pictures Animation create their first adult animated project for Netflix

Agent Elvis is an animated dark comedy series produced by Sony Pictures Animation for Netflix. Agent Elvis marks the first adult animated project produced by Sony Pictures Animation. Elvis’s wife, Priscilla Presley, and American rock singer John Eddie create the series. Mike Arnold is the head writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Matthew McConaughey voices Elvis, lending his dulcet drawl perfectly to the '50s crooner. The character designs are by Robert Valley, and Agent Elvis’ costumes are designed by John Varvatos. The music and original compositions are created by Tyler Bates and Timothy Williams.

Although Agent Elvis is far from based on a true story, back in 1970 the King did actually meet with US President Nixon. In the meeting, Elvis pitched his idea to become a kind of covert operative for the government in the fight against communism and drugs — an irony that surely helped inspire the storylines in Agent Elvis.

McConaughey is accompanied on this bonkers adventure by an impressive list of actors voicing Agent Elvis characters, including Don Cheadle, Johnny Knoxville, Niecy Nash, Kaitlin Olson, and Tom Kenny.
