White Men Can't Jump marks rapper Jack Harlow's first foray into acting

White Men Can’t Jump is a sports comedy film produced by 20th Century Studios and distributed by Hulu. The film is a remake of the original 1992 movie starring Wesley Snipes, Woody Harrelson, and Rosie Perez of the same title. The new film provides a fresh look at the story, updating it for modern audiences. White Men Can’t Jump is directed by Charles Kid II (aka Calmatic), who is best known for helming Lil Nas X’s music video for ‘Old Town Road’. Kenya Barris, who created the series Black-ish, and writer Doug Hall team up for the script.

Friday Night Lights star Sinqua Walls takes on the role of Kamal Allen, a part based on Wesley Snipes’ character in the original film. Rapper Jack Harlow plays Jeremy, the downtrodden but talented basketball player based on Woody Harrelson’s character in the original. The role marks Harlow’s first foray into acting. Lance Reddick plays Benji Allen, Kamal’s NBA veteran father, who has supported him since day one. Additional members of the cast include American singer Teyana Taylor, actor and model Laura Harrier, rapper Vincent Staples, Euphoria actor Zak Steiner, and stand-up comedian Andrew Schulz.
