Maddie’s best friend Emma is set to marry Paul, the man Maddie has secretly been in love with. But, being the good friend she is, Maddie heads to Ireland for the wedding without complaint — until she wishes she were the one marrying Paul, and wakes to discover her wish was granted. Will she get everything she’d hoped for, or should some wishes not come true?
Irish Wish is a romantic comedy film produced for Netflix. The film is directed by Janeen Damian, who previously directed the 2022 Lindsay Lohan-starring Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas. Irish Wish is written by Kirsten Hansen, who has written rom-coms like Cross Country Christmas and Christmas on My Mind.
Irish Wish stars Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls) as Maddie, the self-sacrificing protagonist who finds herself getting what she wished for. She is joined by Alexander Vlahos as Paul, the man Maddie has been longing for, Elizabeth Tan as Emma, Maddie’s best friend who is marrying Paul, and Ed Speleers as James, a new love interest whom Maddie meets in Ireland. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Ayesha Curry, Jane Seymour, Jacinta Mulcahy, Matty McCabe, and Dakota Lohan.
