Following a confrontation with the Dark One, Rand finds it challenging to accept the truth that he is, indeed, the Dragon Reborn. The Wheel of Time season 2 is the second season of the high fantasy-action TV series developed and showran by Rafe Judkins for Amazon Prime Video. Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson crafted the book series of the same name that the series is based on. The series follows Moiraine, a member of a mystical group, who embarks on a quest with five young individuals. She firmly believes that among them lies the potential reincarnation of the Dragon, an influential figure destined to either bring salvation or wreak destruction upon the world. Amanda Kate Shuman, Katherine B. McKenna, John McCutcheon, Dave Hill, Rohit Kumar, Rammy Park, Justine Juel Gillmer and Rafe Lee Judkins & Timothy Earle serve as writers for the second season.
Rosamund Pike reprises her role as Moiraine Damodred. Daniel Henney stars as Lan Mandragoran, Josha Stradowski portrays Rand al’Thor, Marcus Rutherford is Perrin Ayabrs and Madeleine Madden portrays Egwene al’Vere.
Other returning cast members include Zoe Robins, Kate Fleetwood, Priyanka Bose, Sophie Okonedo, Hammed Animashaun, and Kate Alexander. Donal Finn stars as Mat Cauthon for the second season, replacing the previous actor Barney Harris. Ceara Coveney and Ayoola Smart joins the cast as Elayne Trakand and Aviendha respectively. Meera Syal and Natasha O’Keefe round out the cast.
