Second season of Pretty Little Liars spin-off series hits Max
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is a mystery slasher-drama TV series created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring for Max. It serves as the second season from spin-off series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. This series marks the fourth entry in the Pretty Little Liars franchise which includes the original series which ran for seven seasons, ABC Family's Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. Sara Shepard wrote the initial set of Pretty Little Liars novels which began in 2006. Aguirre-Sacasa is best known for developing the massively successful Riverdale TV series along with Chilling Adventures of Sabrina which Bring also previously wrote on.
In the quaint town of Millwood, Pennsylvania, a group of teenage girls receive cryptic messages from someone named "A," connecting them to a haunting incident 22 years ago. The messages accuse them of a classmate's death, prompting the girls to uncover the secrets of 1999 and their mothers' role in the past tragedy.
The series stars Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles and Maia Reficco as the lead group of girls. Mallory Bechtel, Lea Salonga, Elena Goode and Sharon Leal round out the cast. Annabeth Gish reprises her role as Dr. Sullivan from the original series in the second season of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.
