Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is an action-thriller TV series created by Chris Black and developed by Black and Matt Fraction for Apple TV+. It is based on the iconic Godzilla character from Toho. It serves as the sixth installment within Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures' MonsterVerse franchise and the franchise's second TV show behind the Netflix anime series Skull Island. The MonsterVerse's film entries begin with 2014's Godzilla and continue through four films including Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong The New Empire. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks the experiences of Monarch organization members as they come across Godzilla and other colossal creatures called "Titans" in a timeline spanning five decades after the events of the 2014 film.
