Rhys Frake-Waterfield continues his sweet reign of terror with sequel to Blood and Honey
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is a slasher horror film co-written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. It serves as the sequel to 2023's Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey which Frake-Waterfield also wrote and directed. Matt Leslie serves as co-writer for the sequel. Following its release into the public domain, the Winnie-the-Pooh cinematic universe works as a reimagining of the Winnie-the-Pooh children's books by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard, depicted through a horror lens. Several people who worked behind the scenes in the first film returned for the sequel including producers Scott Jeffrey and Frake-Waterfield, cinematographer Vince Knight and Andrew Scott Bell handling music duties. The first Blood and Honey film became a surprise financial hit, earning over $5 million on a measly $100,000 budget.
Several original cast members from the first Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey did not return for the sequel. Notably, Nikolai Leon (Christopher Robin), Craig David Dowsett (Winnie-the-Pooh) and Chris Cordell (Piglet) did not reprise their roles. Their characters were taken up by new actors in the sequel, with Scott Chambers portraying Christopher Robin, Ryan Oliva taking on the role of Winnie-the-Pooh and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as a younger Winnie-the-Pooh. Eddy MacKenzie replaced Chris Cordell as Piglet. Additionally, the sequel introduced Tigger and Owl as characters played by Lewis Santer and Marcus Massey, respectively, while Simon Callow rounds out the cast as Cavendish.
