Synopsis
Two siblings uncover secrets about the world of monsters
After San Francisco was destroyed in 2014, and the discovery that monsters such as Godzilla exist, a family begins to discover their ties to a secret organisation. When two siblings try to honour their father’s legacy, it leads them to the surprising discovery of a hidden realm of monsters, and the world of Monarch.

MonsterVerse series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premieres on Apple TV+
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is an action drama series set within the MonsterVerse franchise. The show is based on Toho’s original Godzilla character and created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. Black is a screenwriter and producer known for his work on Star Trek: Enterprise and Severance. Fraction has worked on Da Vinci's Demons and written for the Iron Man 2 and Thor: God of Thunder video games. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is produced by Legendary Television, Safehouse Pictures and Toho Co. Ltd.
Anna Sawai stars in the series as Cate Randa, a G-Day survivor. Sawai’s work includes playing Naomi in Pachinko. Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell play older and younger versions of Lee Shaw, with Kiersey Clemons as American expat May, and Ren Watabe as Kentaro. Christopher Heyerdahl plays General Puckett. Mari Yamamoto plays Keiko, with Anders Holm as Bill Randa, a researcher at Monarch. John Goodman reprises his role from Kong: Skull Island, and appears as an older Bill Randa in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
