Synopsis
Two investigators search for six suddenly missing men
In Ennis, Alaska the winter nights are long and dark. The Tsalal Arctic Research station is usually managed by six men whose disappearance is a strange mystery. Leaving neither trace nor clue, the odd occurrence is turned over to a pair of investigators. Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro must find the truth buried somewhere deep in the ice. In the process, they will learn as much about themselves as mysterious happenings in the remotest parts of the world.

Jodie Foster takes over the reins for the fourth season subtitled Night Country
True Detective Season 4 is a crime anthology television show written and created by Nic Pizzolatto for HBO. Season 4 is titled True Detective: Night Country and features Issa Lopez and Barry Jenkins as producers. Lopez is a renowned Mexican producer, writer, and director who takes over the writing and role of showrunner from Nic Pizzolatto. Barry Jenkins is an award-winning filmmaker known for the movie Moonlight and here acts as an executive producer for the show.
Previous seasons of True Detective have seen major actors taking the lead role including Woody Harrelson, Matthew McConaughey, and Mahershala Ali. Season 4 is no exception, with multi-award-winning actress and Hollywood icon Jodie Foster taking on the lead role. She is joined by actress and professional boxer, Kali Reis playing Evangeline Navarro. The pair are joined by John Hawkes, Christopher Eccleston, Fiona Shaw, Anna Lame, and Finn Bennet. True Detective Season 4 was released on HBO on January 14, 2024.
