Synopsis
The Roman family sits at the top of the country music industry after Albie and Dottie Roman devoted their lives to building their dynasty. Monarch is a drama series created by Melissa London Hilfers and produced by Fox Entertainment. The show centers around the Roman family, a fiercely talented musical family with an impeccable reputation – and success completely built on a lie. Fox Entertainment bypassed the pilot order of the series, opting to go straight for a series order. Both original music and covers will be part of the show’s broadcast.
The series’ commitment to an authentic musical experience for viewers can be seen in its cast. Monarch stars country music superstar Trace Adkins, pop singer Beth Ditto, and Filipino singer Iñigo Pascual. Joining them are Susan Sarandon, Anna Friel, and Joshua Sasse.
