Synopsis
Can a gang of young outcasts stay innocent while living a life of crime?
Set in the 90s, a group of misfits gets lost in the Indian criminal underworld. Letting loose their most violent impulses, the group must survive the dangers to both body and spirit. Guns and Gulaabs Season 1 is a Hindi language comedy crime television show produced by D2R Films and Netflix. The show is created by the Indian filmmaking duo Raj & DK. The pair are best known for their work The Family Man and Farzi. Guns and Gulaabs Season 1 marks their second collaboration with Netflix after the Telugu neo-noir Cinema Bandi. Raj & DK direct and write the show alongside screenwriter Suman Kumar and cinematographer Pankaj Kumar.
Guns and Gulaabs Season 1 features Rajkummar Rao, best known for his role in the critically-acclaimed movie Shahid. He is joined by actress and model Shreya Dhanwanthary, who collaborates with Raj & DK again after having starred in The Family Man. Vipin Sharma, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Gulshan Devaiah, and Pooja Gor round out the cast. Guns and Gulaabs Season 1 was released on Netflix on August 18th, 2023.
