Synopsis
The couple begin their adventures in India, where they explore the extraordinary backwaters of Kerala, with spices, dancing, a visit to a temple and then strike out for the rarely navigated Brahmaputra river in the far north of India, where they meet a community of monks and hitch a ride on an elephant. Back in Britain and then to Wales, Tim and Pru explore one of Britain's most ancient and picturesque waterways, the Norfolk Broads and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal; the famously beautiful Welsh canal with a haunted castle on route. The gallant duo also travel to Europe on a trip to Alsace and Lorraine in France to explore past enchanted forests, fairy-tale castles and picturesque mountains and valleys. They also voyage through the dramatic landscape of north-west Portugal, with deep locks, hilltop vineyards and some port in Porto.
