There was the return of a comedy classic series making its way onto the charts following the death of a beloved icon, while a psychological thriller series set in the 1970s has seen a significant jump this week. 10. Justified: City Primeval

Justified: City Primeval went from the third position on the charts to the tenth this week. Timothy Olyphant reprises his role as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens in this continuation series of FX's successful neo-Western crime series Justified. City Primeval continues the story as Raylan cares for his teenage daughter (played by Olyphant’s real-life daughter Vivian) in Miami. His journey leads him to Detroit where he strives to capture notorious career criminal Clement Mansell, better known as The Oklahoma Wildman. Justified: City Primeval is created by Dave Andron and Michael Dinner, with original showrunner Graham Yost serving as an executive producer.

9. The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer experienced a resurgence in popularity following the release of the second half of its second season. The Netflix legal series features Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, a criminal defense lawyer, with a talented supporting cast consisting of Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Christopher Gorham. The first part of the season released on July 6 and debuted at the number six spot that week while the remaining five episodes premiered this week on August 3.

8. The Bear

After remaining a consistent presence in the top 5 rankings for several weeks, Hulu’s highly acclaimed series, The Bear, has now secured the eighth position on the charts this week. The series features Jeremy Allen White in the role of Carmy Berzatto, an award-winning chef who finds himself returning to his hometown to manage his late brother's sandwich shop. Ayo Edebiri portrays Sydney, the skilled new chef, while Lionel Boyce takes on the role of aspiring pastry chef Marcus. This season features a number of notable guest stars including Will Poulter, Bob Odenkirk and Jamie Lee Curtis. Christopher Storer, the creator of the series, is also slated to direct the upcoming adaptation of The Winter of Frankie Machine.

7. Good Omens

The second season of the Amazon Prime Video original series, Good Omens, made its debut on the charts last week at number nine. This week, it climbed two spots to claim the seventh position. The series, led by David Tennant and Michael Sheen, delves into the escapades of the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale. In the second season, the duo embarks on a quest to unravel the mystery surrounding the lost memories of the Archangel Gabriel. Jon Hamm takes on the role of Archangel Gabriel. The supporting cast includes Gloria Obianyo as Uriel, Quelin Sepulveda as Muriel and Liz Carr as Saraqael. The series is the brainchild of esteemed author Neil Gaiman, known for the successful adaptations of his novels into TV shows including The Sandman and American Gods.

6. The Witcher

Netflix premiered the final installment of The Witcher's third season last week which hit the tenth spot on the charts. This week, the adaptation of the widely successful video game series ascended several positions to secure the number six spot. Henry Cavill stars in the titular lead role alongside Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Freya Allan as Ciri. Series creator Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich has also lent her expertise to other Witcher-related projects, including The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and The Witcher: Blood Origin.

5. Pee-wee’s Playhouse

Following the sudden passing of Paul Reubens, known for his role as Pee-wee Herman, on July 30, there was a noticeable surge in interest in the show that catapulted him to fame with Pee-wee's Playhouse. The Emmy award winning children's series, which aired from 1986 to 1991 on CBS, starred Reubens as the beloved character recognized for his playful antics and iconic red bow tie. Pee-wee's Playhouse was adapted from Reubens' celebrated stage performance and HBO TV special, The Pee-wee Herman Show, however the latter (unsurprisingly) featured more mature humor than its Playhouse companion.

4. Special Ops: Lioness

Taylor Sheridan's latest series on Paramount+, Special Ops: Lioness, debuted at number one last week following its back-to-back season premiere. The spy thriller sits at number four on this week’s charts. Known for creating the massive hit series Yellowstone, Sheridan helmed a number of other beloved Paramount+ titles including 1883, 1923, Tulsa King, and co-creating Mayor of Kingstown. Special Ops: Lioness stars Zoe Saldaña as CIA Officer Joe. Laysla De Oliveira stars alongside Saldaña as Cruz Manuelos. Hollywood veterans Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman join the supporting cast of Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett and James Jordan.

3. Hijack

The final episode of the Idris Elba-led gripping thriller miniseries released on August 2. Hijack, which premiered on June 28, sits at the third position on this week's charts. Elba takes on the role of Sam Nelson, a skilled corporate negotiator, as he endeavors to thwart an airplane hijacking en route from Dubai to London. The miniseries is available to stream on Apple TV+ and adds to the recent roster of acclaimed Apple projects including Silo and Platonic. Created by George Kay, co-creator of Lupin, and directed by Jim Field Smith, known for She's Out of My League, Hijack also features Neil Maskell, Eve Myles and Christine Adams in supporting roles.

2. Twisted Metal

The Twisted Metal video game adaptation premiered its full season on Peacock last week, debuting at number four on the charts and now rising to second place. Set in a post-apocalyptic landscape, the action-comedy revolves around Mackie's character, John Doe, a quick-witted amnesiac navigating the fringes of society. Presented with a unique opportunity, he embarks on a mission to deliver a mysterious parcel across the hazardous wasteland and is joined by Beatriz's Quiet, a gun-toting car thief seeking retribution.
