Where To Watch Every Demon Slayer TV Show and Movie in Order

Updated on

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is wrapping up its successful four-season run, making now a great time to watch the franchise in its entirety. However, viewers may need some help, given that the franchise has some compilation movies and is sometimes divided into story arcs instead of seasons. Hence, this guide will explain where and how to watch every Demon Slayer TV show and film in order and online using popular streaming services like Crunchyroll, Netflix and more!

Based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered in 2019. Set in Japan’s Taishō era, the series follows Tanjiro Kamado, a teenager who comes home one day to discover his entire family has been killed by demons, while his younger sister, Nezuko Kamado, has been transformed into a demon. Desperate for vengeance and to save his sister, Tanjiro sets out on a mission to become a Demon Slayer.

Demon Slayer gained critical acclaim for its stunning animation, top-notch voice performances, thrilling fight scenes, and emotional storyline. Despite the anime’s strong performance, its success was eclipsed by the franchise’s first movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is often hailed as one of the greatest anime movies of all time. Not only did it become Japan’s highest-grossing film of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it eventually overtook Spirited Away to become the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.

Although the movie was a major success, it is the only original movie in the franchise. The other two movies, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training, are compilation films rather than original stories and can be skipped.
