Synopsis
The Iran has a surprisingly spectacular landscape - deserts, large lakes, rustic deciduous wood, sparkling waterfalls and snow-capped mountains - and a unique mix of species from Africa, Asia and Europe. Most news about Iran are only about its controversial policies. Many people have only sketchy ideas of the Islamic Republic. Therefore the country is generally a blank spot in the minds of many Europeans. Benny Rebel, a German-Iranian internationally renowned wildlife photographer and environmentalist, will change this. He returns to his native Iran to document its little-known wilderness and extraordinary collection of plants and animals. His journey shows another Iran - an Iran that has been rarely known before.
