This Town Season 1 is the first season of the drama series produced for BBC One. Steven Knight, who is known for his hit crime-drama series Peaky Blinders and Eastern Promises, creates the series. The series documents the fictional creation of a Two-Tone band in the midst of the genre’s creation in Birmingham in the 1980s, and the music featured is written by Kae Tempest and Dan Carey. The duo previously collaborated on Tempest’s debut album Everybody Down.
This Town features up-and-coming talent, including Levi Brown as Dante Williams, the band’s lead songwriter, Jordan Bolger as Dante’s brother, Gregory, Ben Rose as Bardon Quinn, the band’s lead singer, and Eve Austin as Jeannie Keefe, one of the band’s lead musicians. Other main cast members include Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), Nicholas Pinnock, and David Dawson.
