Synopsis
The daughter of a serial killer works to exonerate a man accused of committing her father’s crime, while establishing her own separate identity
Two decades after the serial killer Keith Jesperson (aka the Happy Face Killer) was found guilty and thrown in prison, he tries to make his way back into the life of his now adult daughter, Melissa Reed. Melissa must reckon with her dark family past, and try to create her own sense of identity, while attempting to exonerate a man convicted of a crime her father committed.
