The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 is the fifth and final season in Amazon’s 1950s comedy-drama series. The series is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who wrote and directed Gilmore Girls. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was met with resounding critical acclaim when it hit screens in 2017 and has gone on to win a Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Rachel Brosnahan returns to play the marvelous Mrs. Midge Maisel, a jewish house-wife-turned-stand-up-comedian in 1950s New York City. Alex Borstein returns as her surly but deeply caring manager Susie. Luke Kirby also returns for his award-winning portrayal of the tragic comedian Lenny Bruce. Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle return as Midge’s neurotic parents, Abe and Rose. Milo Ventimiglia, Alfie Fuller, Reid Scott, Jason Ralph, and Kelly Bishop also feature in the final season. Although season 5 is Mrs. Maisel’s last, some new cast members also join the send-off, including Peter Friedman, Chloe Kerwin, Austin Basis, and others.
