Synopsis
Alina must augment her powers to battle General Kirigan
As General Kirigan and his army’s powers grow in strength, Alina and Mal embark on an adventure around the continent in search of two beings capable of augmenting Alina’s powers. As the season progresses, friendships are tested, romances blossom, battles are fought, and an old family secret is revealed that could change everything.

Shadow and Bone Season 2 is the second season of Netflix’s fantasy series and adapted for TV by Eric Heisserer. The series is based on two series of books taking place in the Grishaverse, created by author Leigh Bardugo. In this fantasy universe, the Grisha are magical people who have the power to manipulate specific elements. There are three different types of Grisha: the Materialki (metal and glass manipulators), the Etherealki (wind and fire manipulators), and the Corporalki (body manipulators). There is a fourth, extremely rare kind of Grisha that can summon light. That gift is possessed by series protagonist Alika Starkov, played by actor Jessie Mei Li.
The second season of Shadow and Bone brings back Ben Barnes playing the villain Aleksander Kirigan (General Kirigan), a shadow summoner known as the Darkling. Alina’s childhood friend, Mal Oretsev, is once again played by Archie Renaux. Amita Suman, Freddy Carter, and Kit Young return as Inej Ghafa, Kaz Brekker, and Jesper Fahey, members of a criminal gang known as 'The Crows'.
