Synopsis
A robot detective investigates the targeting of the seven most developed robots in the world
In a world in which robots and humans peacefully coexist, the robot detective Gesicht investigates a string of murders. As the investigation unfolds, Gesicht discovers that the seven most highly developed robots are being targeted.

Tezuka’s original story adapted by Urasawa and Nagasaki gets an anime series on Netflix
Pluto is an anime series produced by Genco and animated by M2Studio for Netflix. The series is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki. The Pluto manga series was itself based on the ‘The Greatest Robot on Earth’ story arc from the manga Astro Boy by the legendary cartoonist known as the ‘Father of Manga’, Osamu Tezuka. The Pluto manga is an award-winning series that was also adapted into a successful stage play in 2015.
The Pluto voice cast includes Shinshu Fuji as Gesicht, the Europol robot detective at the heart of the story. He is joined by Yoko Hikasa as the highly advanced robot boy Atom, and Minori Suzuki as Uran, Atom’s younger sister.
