Synopsis
The Straw Hat Pirates set sail on an adventure to find the One Piece
Monkey D Luffy puts together a crew of talented ruffians known as the Straw Hat Pirates, who go on an adventure across land and ocean to find the One Piece before their rivals. The ancient relic has the power to transform its owner into the ‘King of the Pirates’, and the crew will stop at nothing to find it.

What to know
Netflix adapts the beloved manga series by Eiichiro Oda in live-action form
One Piece Season 1 is the first season of the live-action fantasy adventure series produced by Kaji Productions, Tomorrow Studios, and Shueisha for Netflix. The series is adapted by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda from the manga series of the same name, written by Eiichiro Oda. Owens is known for being a writer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Defenders, and Luke Cage, while Maeda’s writing credits include the X-Files, Lost, CSI: Miami, and others.
The first season of One Piece stars actor Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D Luffy, the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, who also happens to be able to bend like rubber. The master swordsman and member of the Straw Hat Pirates Roronora Zoru is played by Mackenyu. Other crew members include the defensive thief Nami, played by Emily Rudd, the marksmen Usopp, played by Jacop Romero Gibson, and master chef Sanji, played by Taz Skylar.
