After the events of the last season, Lupin has gone into hiding. Wracked with guilt about the way his actions have affected his ex partner and son, and powerless to do anything about it, Lupin returns to Paris to ask them to escape to a new life with him.
Lupin Season 3 (aka Part Three) is the third season of the French action-mystery series produced by Gaumont Television and distributed by Netflix. The series is created by George Kay, who co-created Criminal, and Francois Uzan. Louis Leterrier directs Part Three’s episodes, and is best known for his work on The Transporter, The Incredible Hulk, and Now You See Me.
Part Three again features Omar Sy as Assane Diop (aka Lupin), a ‘gentleman thief’ who models himself off of Arsene Lupin, a character created by writer Maurice LeBlanc. Lupin’s ex-partner Claire is portrayed by Ludivine Sagnier, and their son Raoul is played by Etan Simon. Soufiane Guerrab reprises his role as detective Youssef Guedira, who is also loosely based on another of Maurice LeBlanc’s characters, Ganimard. Here is a guide to Lupin Part 3 with more details on the story, casting, and production.
