Synopsis
It's been five years since we last met up with nurse Kim Wilde. Time's moved on, and so has work, she's left the hospital and is now working for Buccaneer Health Care who have the contract for domiciliary care services for the region. Welcome to the world of the home health care worker; zero hours, nothing for travel, half an hour only per patient, pay for your own training and uniform, low wage, anti-social hours obligatory. 'Going Forward' shares the same poignant quality as 'Getting On', continues to show Kim's rapport with patients, and the format of one episode representing a day in the life remains. What's new is that 'Going Forward' also features Kim's home life and struggles.
