Eli Roth finally makes a feature-length film from his original 2007 Grindhouse parody trailer
Thanksgiving is a slasher-horror film produced by SpyGlass Media. The film is directed by Eli Roth, who previously helmed Cabin Fever and Hostel. The idea for Thanksgiving first appeared in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 film Grindhouse, which features parody slasher trailers including one by Roth called Thanksgiving, starring Jeff Rendell. Rendell teams up with Roth once more as a writer to bring the feature-length Thanksgiving to life.
Thanksgiving stars Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey as the sheriff of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Addison Rae (He’s All That) stars as the lead scream queen, and is joined by Rick Hoffman, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, Gabriel Davenport, Tomaso Sanelli, Jenna Warren, and Amanda Barker.
