Deadpool first made his foray into live-action cinema in 2009, featuring briefly in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Fans roundly trashed the depiction, furiously pointing out that the character who was known for his mouthiness and profoundly silly demeanour had his trap literally sewn shut and remained deadly serious throughout his cameo.
